The Bassano bridge: a long lasting love story

For the occasion, ViART - an initiative that promotes experiences of knowledge and of purchase of artistic crafts, with the Vicenza area and its traditions at the centre - has proposed some new guided itineraries, connecting history, architecture and crafts.
 
Among these, also the one entitled “Il Ponte di Bassano: a long lasting love story”: on the 12th and the 26th of June a stage was dedicated to Carteria Tassotti, our flagship store in the city centre, just a stone's throw from the Bridge.
 
The participants had the opportunity to know the history of the Remondini family – the historic printing company active in the Bassano area in the XVIII century, of which Tassotti is heir - and to learn to distinguish the decoration, the colours, the weight and even the scent of the precious Tassotti paper creations.  
 
The tour continued at the new Bookshop of the Civic Museum, recently inaugurated within the "Shopping d’Arte" project, which aims to express the cultural significance of the artefacts on sale, such as some of the Tassotti products.
 
Moreover, from the 26th of June to the 28th of August the initiative “Un Ponte per Bassano, Bassano per il suo Ponte” (A Bridge for Bassano, Bassano for its Bridge) takes place at Palazzo Bonaguro. It combines the photographic exhibition entitled “Bassano e il Brenta, l’acqua e il ponte” (Bassano and the Brenta, the water and the bridge) organized by the Civic Museums in collaboration with ProBassano and Bassano Fotografia. The exhibition shows the works created by the local artisans master - thanks to the collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Vicenza - through ViArt - and with CNA together with the works of students.

One exhibition venue for a wide audience of subjects involved and united in paying a special tribute to the symbol of Bassano in the world.
